Kentucky Bowhunter Field Day and Bowhunter Education Add On Instruction Information

In order to complete the bowhunter education requirements for Kentucky, you must pass both the online portion and a Field Day or an Add On Instruction portion of the Bowhunter Ed Safety Course.

A Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Bowhunter Add On is a 4 hour "add on" course that will meet the requirement for completing your Bowhunter Education course

Follow the steps below to complete the certification process.

  1. After Passing the Online Course…

    Students must attend a Field Day led by Kentucky DFWR bowhunting instructors or attend a 4 hour Add On to a scheduled Hunter Education Course.in order to complete the certification process.

  2. Sign-up for a Field Day…

    Go to the Kentucky DFWR bowhunter education web page to find Field Day and Add On locations and dates.

  3. Attend the Field Day

    Bring your Field Day Qualifier Certificate to the Field Day or Add On. After demonstrating proficiency at the Field Day or Add On, you'll receive your Kentucky Bowhunter Education Certificate.
