South Dakota Bowhunter Field Day Information

In order to complete the bowhunter education requirements for South Dakota, you must pass both the online and Field Day portions of the Bowhunter Ed Safety Course.

No Field Days are available in South Dakota for the remainder of 2011.

Follow the steps below to complete the certification process.

  1. After Passing the Online Course…

    Students must attend a Field Day led by South Dakota GFP bowhunting instructors in order to complete the certification process.

  2. Sign-up for a Field Day…

    Go to the South Dakota GFP Bowhunter Education page to find a Field Day in your area.

  3. Attend the Field Day

    Bring your Field Day Qualifier Certificate to the Field Day. After demonstrating proficiency in bow and arrow safety and hunting skills during the Field Day, you'll receive your South Dakota Bowhunter Education Certificate.
