The Connecticut Modified Bowhunting Field Day



You must pass both the online and Modified Bowhunting Field Day portions of the Bowhunter education course in order to complete the Connecticut Bowhunter education requirements.

Locating and Signing Up for the Modified Bowhunting Field Day
After passing the online portion of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Bowhunter education course, you will need to locate and sign up for the required Modified Bowhunting Field Day.
Locate and sign up for the Modified Bowhunting Field Day in your area.
Important! You must send in your In-Person Field Day Voucher to [email protected] before you register for the Modified Bowhunting Field Day.
Warning! Passing the online course does not guarantee you a spot at the Modified Bowhunting Field Day.
What To Expect at the Modified Bowhunting Field Day
The Modified Bowhunting Field Day is 4–6 hours, depending on the amount of students attending.
The Modified Bowhunting Field Day will include:
- Tree Stand Safety
- Live Fire and Range Estimation
- Bow and Crossbow Safety
- Blood Trailing
- Proctored Exam
After attending and passing the Modified Bowhunting Field Day portion of the Bowhunter education requirement, you will receive your Bowhunting Completion Certificate.
