What To Expect at the Bowhunter Education Online Field Day

The Bowhunter Education Online Field Day is 4–6 hours, depending on the amount of students attending.

Under the supervision of a certified instructor, the Bowhunter Education Online Field Day will include:

  • a classroom session
  • demonstrations of bow and arrow safety
  • demonstrations of hunting skills
  • practical testing

Most of the classroom topics will pertain to Montana-specific regulations and issues that are not covered in this online course. Be sure to have proper clothing for the outdoor sessions.

After attending and passing the Bowhunter Education Online Field Day portion of the Bowhunter education requirement, you will receive your Montana Bowhunter Education Certificate.
