The North Dakota Archery Field Training

You must pass both the online and Archery Field Training portions of the Bowhunter education course in order to complete the North Dakota Bowhunter education requirements.

Locating and Signing Up for the Archery Field Training

After passing the online portion of the North Dakota Game and Fish Department Bowhunter education course, you will need to locate and sign up for the required Archery Field Training.

Locate and sign up for the Archery Field Training in your area.

Important! Bring your Archery Field Training Voucher to the Archery Field Training as proof of having completed the online course.

Warning! Passing the online course does not guarantee you a spot at the Archery Field Training.

What to Expect at the Archery Field Training

This is 4–6 hours, depending on the number of students attending and will include:

  • a classroom session
  • outdoor shooting
  • blood trailing
  • demonstrations of tree stand safety
  • survival skills

Most of the classroom topics will pertain to North Dakota-specific regulations and issues that are not covered in this online course. Be sure to have proper clothing for the outdoor sessions.

After attending and passing the Archery Field Training portion of the Bowhunter education requirement, you will receive your Archery Certification Card.
