The Maine Archery Skills and Exam Day



You must pass both the online and Archery Skills and Exam Day portions of the Archery education course in order to complete the Maine Archery education requirements.

Locating and Signing Up for the Archery Skills and Exam Day
After passing the online portion of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Archery education course, you will need to locate and sign up for the required Archery Skills and Exam Day.
Locate and sign up for the Archery Skills and Exam Day in your area.
Important! Bring your Archery Education Certificate to the Archery Skills and Exam Day as proof of having completed the online course.
What to Expect at the Archery Skills and Exam Day
This is 6–7 hours, depending on the number of students attending and will include:
- a classroom session
- blood trailing
- distance judging
- demonstrations of tree stand safety
- survival skills
Most of the classroom topics will pertain to Maine-specific regulations and issues that are not covered in this online course. Be sure to have proper clothing for the outdoor sessions. Dress for the weather.
After attending and passing the Archery Skills and Exam Day portion of the Archery education requirement, you will receive your Archery Education Certificate.
