Methods for Hunting Feral Goats

The most common bowhunting method for goats in the VI is spot-and-stalk hunting.

When stalking goats:

• Use vegetation and terrain for concealment
• Avoid silhouetting yourself on ridgelines
• Move slowly over loose rock and dry vegetation
• Plan shooting lanes before drawing your bow
• Maintain awareness of steep cliffs and unstable footing

Morning and late afternoon are generally the most active feeding periods.
