Respect for Landowners and the Public

Much of the accessible hunting land within the VI is privately owned or located near developed areas.

Responsible hunters should:

• Obtain permission before entering private property
• Leave gates and property as found
• Remove litter and damaged equipment
• Respect livestock and cultivated land
• Conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner

The actions of individual hunters influence public perception of bowhunting throughout the territory.
