  • Always follow manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines.
  • Never modify or alter the manufacturer’s product.
  • Retain all printed information that came with the hunting saddle.
  • Practice at ground level in the presence of another adult.
  • Stay connected from the time you leave the ground until you return to the ground.
  • Always keep the tree tether at the proper height recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Always use a haul line for raising and lowering equipment.
  • Never use a hunting saddle as an FAS or full-body harness.
  • Here is the equipment required when using hunting saddles:
    • Hunting Saddle: Single panel, double panel, or hybrid
    • Ascending Systems/Climbing Aid: Ladder sections or climbing sticks, friction knots (screw-in steps or lineman’s spikes are not recommended)
    • Foot Platforms: Strap on small platforms or “Ring of Steps”
    • Ropes: Lineman’s belt, tether, safety line rope system
