Hunting Saddles
- Always follow manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines.
- Never modify or alter the manufacturer’s product.
- Retain all printed information that came with the hunting saddle.
- Practice at ground level in the presence of another adult.
- Stay connected from the time you leave the ground until you return to the ground.
- Always keep the tree tether at the proper height recommended by the manufacturer.
- Always use a haul line for raising and lowering equipment.
- Never use a hunting saddle as an FAS or full-body harness.
- Here is the equipment required when using hunting saddles:
- Hunting Saddle: Single panel, double panel, or hybrid
- Ascending Systems/Climbing Aid: Ladder sections or climbing sticks, friction knots (screw-in steps or lineman’s spikes are not recommended)
- Foot Platforms: Strap on small platforms or “Ring of Steps”
- Ropes: Lineman’s belt, tether, safety line rope system
